Children can practice important measuring skills by mixing up some butterfly nectar (3 teaspoons of sugar to 1 cup water and mix thoroughly). Squeeze a few drops on to the feeder and place it in the butterfly habitat. Watch how butterflies use their long proboscises to soak up the nectar!
